My friend Anta was in Senegal and brought me some cute "pagnes".
She said that they are for lounging at home only, but I am planning to wear them at the grocery store and at the beach too. I live in Florida so they will come handy!
They are soft, colorful and just perfect with a simple fitted tee.
Many thanks Anta cherie!!!
Sorry for the pic with the carpet...since these wraps are not available online, I could not upload the outfit on Polyvore.

hi! so these are senegaleese???!! i luv them but i also saw the same in india...are they imported????
i like your blog and i am looking forward for many many other posts!!!
Well - My friend brought them from Senegal but you are right - My sis was in India a while back and says she saw some there.
The wrap, called pagne in "french" or "seur" in wolof, is something worn by most african ladies on a daily basis.
So the design of these wraps that ma cherie Anta gave me are definitely not senegalese, but the style certainly is african.
Thanks for your comment! Hope you enjoy more posts :)
